2018 PCCS Taxonomy Review Results

Like most taxonomies, the Burgiss Private Capital Classification System (PCCS) is a work in progress and subject to annual review and revision. We work in close collaboration with our clients, who are consulted on proposed enhancements and given the opportunity to weigh in on these changes. Changes to taxonomies are proposed only after a comprehensive review.

For the 2018 annual taxonomy review, we proposed enhancement of the Asset Class Taxonomy by adding a new Senior Debt category. As our proposal was in line with the consensus view, we will be proceeding with this enhancement.  You'll find a detailed account of the consultation and its results here, so please take a few moments to review the findings. Implementation of the taxonomy changes in Burgiss products will begin in 2019.
